Tanuja Ramani is an illustrator and artist from in the city of Chennai, India. Her work takes inspiration from the history of art and material culture, and the interplay between urban development and the natural world. She hopes to use art to tell stories, inspire and educate.
Tanuja works primarily with graphite, using the tactility and immediacy of the medium to create dreamlike, surreal environments, infused with feeling and memory. Her approach can be defined as 'pulling images out of a fog, rather than making marks on a surface.'
